I'll certainly miss hearing: "Hello Dan, this is your friend Max Lyons". Although I've only known him about 5 years, he was an inspiration to me in more ways than he knew. It was about the handshake, the smile, and the words he used to make you comfortable when you spoke to him. Thanks, Red. See you soon! Friday, October 22, 2010 |

My condolences go out to the family. I met "Red" thru the V.F.W Post1806 in Beaumont,Texas. I have always had a lot of respect for him. I talked to him about a month ago in the Brookshire Bros. parking lot in Vidor and I hate to hear of his passing.
Respectfully,Alan Real Friday, October 22, 2010 |

Dear Polly, Becky, Sandy and Pam, I'm so sad that my dear friend Max is gone. I'm not sure how I would have gotten through much of my life without him. He will always be so very special to me as you all are. I'm sorry for your loss. Much love, Pam Thursday, October 21, 2010 |
