Mike & Steve
I was blessed to have had the opportunity to share so many great scouting events with your dad. What a positive influence he was for so many young men. Wayne exemplified the spirit of “The Brotherhood of Cheerful Service”! His Eternal rewards will be great!
God bless,

Howard and Sandra Smith (Beaumont, TX)

Wayne was always an inspiration for me. He would make me think and do do what he knew I was capable of. Even when I would not perform to his standards, he would put his arm around my shoulder and "explain" to me the errors of my ways. I will miss his smile and his friendship, and I too hope "our trails cross again".

Miles A. Hall (Beaumont, TX)

Throughout history brave men have stepped up to fill the gap to defend the principals they believed in and few men have stood taller or broader than Wayne. We can only hope and pray that the legacy he left of inspired young men will be enough to fill the void that was created when he was called home. His presence will be missed, but his spirit will be among us that had the pleasure of knowing him.
I pray for God’s blessings for his family and friends. May the peace of the Lord be always with you.
