I am so sorry for your loss of Alfred. I knew him first through my dad speaking so humbly about the way Alfred worked together with his father in law to help my dad during his last few years as his health began to decline. Alfred would cut wood, bring it in, and stack it so neatly for my parents. They often brought my parents greens and other produce form the gardens and many helpings of fresh catfish from the river. He seemed to know what my folks liked! Even though Alfred was in poor health when my dad passed in April, he participated in mowing our land to make it look better. He continued to help his father in law help my mom with mowing our place and doing other chores such as working on our water pump. Alfred was a very hard working man and will be missed greatly! Sorry to hear of the loss of such a fine man who helped my beloved father and mother during the last few years even though he was suffering in his own body. After my father went to be with Jesus, Alfred made up the hedge by helping keep up the place and brought comfort and security to our mother and family. May God's love envelope his family and bring comfort and peace to all his loved ones. May strength from God uphold you in the days ahead. Thank-you God, for allowing us to know this man. ALFRED YOU LEFT US TO SOON, BUT YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED ALWAYS. YOU WAS THE ONE TO CALL WHEN I BROKE DOWN, RUN OUT OF GAS, OR JUST NEEDED SOMETHING YOU WAS THERE. YOU WAS LIKE A DAD TO ME. I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER AND MISS YA LIKE CRAZY. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN, BUT WILL ALWAYS BE MISSED. I'M HAPPY TO HAVE SPENT FRIDAY WITH YOU EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD GOING 30MPH. I LOVE YOU. SHELLY Thursday, August 19, 2010 |
