I worked in sales at Home Furniture, Teresa did some radio spots for us. She always had a big smile on her face. My prayers are with your family at this time.

Kim Downes (Garland, TX)

I knew Teri when she was in the biomedical
program at Texas A&M considering veterinary
medicine as a career. I loved being around her
because she was always so much fun. Although, I
agree with her own assessment that she should get
paid for talking – I’m glad she at least thought
about vet med or I never would have met her.

She always thought it was great for me to have
become a veterinarian and all I could ever think is
how great it was that she was exploring so many
different avenues and having so much fun. She was
such a free spirit. While I toiled at the books in
College Station, she would send postcards from
Bora Bora where she was exploring the cruise
director field in the South Pacific.

I tend to be very conservative and boring and Teri
always brought me out of my shell. When I needed
clothes for a party, Teri was the one that leant me leopard leggings and hot pink leg warmers (it was
the eighties after all).

I also fondly recall a trip to South Padre for Spring
Break. Some members of the group began to tire of Teri repeatedly playing Prince’s “Little Red
Corvette” over and over and over. Suddenly the
tape (the eighties remember) disappeared only to
resurface again on the day we were leaving, but
Teri never skipped a beat. These small things can show you insight into how a person may deal with the larger things life could throw at you and Teri
took it all with a smile.

I will always regret not having tried to reconnect
with Teri sooner than I did but I thank Brian for confirming and allowing me to know of her passing.  I was truly shocked. We should not let friends drift so far out of our lives....

Rest in peace my friend.

Teresa Burns, what an inspiration of life! So kind, so sweet and generous, always positive and glowing with a smile. If you asked her how life is going, it was always great couldn't be better! We love you Teresa and will always remember your inspiring nature.

What a lovely lady! I only met her on a couple of occasions but her energy and zest for life were so apparent. She will be missed. My prayers are with her family.

I am so glad I was able to call you my friend. You were such an amazing woman.....I will miss your smile, contagious laughter, and most of all our little chats. I know you are smiling down on Abby, Brian, and all of your family and friends. Beaumont will be a little less bright without you, my sweet friend.
