I am so sorry to hear this news. I met Pete and Barbara about seven years ago when I moved on the property next door. The land was overgrown with weeds and brush, so I bought an old push mower from a pawn shop. Many times, tired and weary, I came home from work knowing I would have to tackle that grass. But, when I turned the corner on Shady Lane, I saw Pete on his riding mower cutting the grass. Barbara would be sitting in the swing smiling and waving. Today, I seldom walk out to my car without looking to see if one of them has come home. I'm not sure I will ever stop looking for them. Please accept my sincerest condolences. Shady Lane will never be the same! Tuesday, August 3, 2010 |
