Initially I knew Melody only through work. She supervised certain cases assigned to me and we develeped a friendship beyond work. I got to know Lloyd, and of course, Jonathan, the love of her life. I have rarely seen such a loving and dedicated mother, and she literally beamed when she talked about him.
I am on a business trip in the Northeast, so I cannot be at the visitaiton on Thursday. Nonetheless, I wish I could visit with family and friends, as I know there would be tears, and yet some laughter. There was always laughter when Melody was around. She had a macabre sense of humor that was undeniable, and I will miss that very much. Wednesday, June 23, 2010 |

There are times when you hear of the sudden passing of one so dear that the urge to scream NO NO is so strong. This is one of those times. There are so many things that describe Melody: wife, mother, daughter, niece, dear friend---along with witty, full of life--I could go on and on. Whatever Jonathan was involved in, Mel was there to cheer him on. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Please know that my prayers are with her dear family. Never forget how much she loved you . We can all say that this was one special lady!!! Nelda Wednesday, June 23, 2010 |

Lloyd and Jonathan you are in our prayers. May you find comfort in God's word. You have been blessed as we have by the love, kindness and quick wit of Mel. She was a ray of sunshine to anyone that she met. Yesterday while thinking about Mel I looked up into the sky and saw a cloud with the sun behind it which gave a picture of a ring around the cloud. I believe that was Mel looking down and telling me that she will always be with her circle of friends. Thank you Lord for giving my family the great pleasure of knowing Mel for a season. We will all miss you very much, and will be here for Lloyd and Jonathan. And Mel as you would say, "YOU HEARD ME" something I will always remember when I think of you.

I have known and loved Mel since she was a little girl and our neighbor in Pecos. I remember her beautiful smile, her great sense of humor and her winning personality. She was a joy to everyone who knew her. My heart aches for her family and, yes, for her friends. Please, find confort in knowing that she was loved and admired by everyone who was lucky enough to have known her. God's blessings on all of you. Viola Brammer Tuesday, June 22, 2010 |

Melody was my friend, sounding board, and shoulder to cry on. She was always there for me in good and bad times. She would stop everything to help a friend, and use a little of the time to show you some pictures of Jonathan and brag on him. My how she was proud of her son, if love was money Jonathan would be the richest young man in the world. May God Bless her as she continues on in her new life!! Tuesday, June 22, 2010 |
