My mother knew the Morgans before I was born and before my parents were married in 1943. Wilda and I have had a friendship dating back to age 5. I had the pleasure of seeing Anna Lee in May 2009 while visiting my uncle at the Health Center, and she still had that beautiful, graceful smile! Anna Lee and Willard were two of the last visitors my mother had at St. Mary's Hospital in 1991 before she died. She was a wonderful support to Mother during Mother's bout with breast cancer. Too many memories to list, but one is having my first piece of Duncan Hines cake at the Morgans' house! A beautiful lady has left us, but her spirit remains with us. A life to celebrate! Wilda and I were very close growing up, and my memories of her home revolved around Anna Lee, although to me she was Mrs Morgan! She was so sweet, always, and such a calming influence on me. I loved being in her home and remember the many conversations we enjoyed. I am thankful to have been able to see her a few years ago; she remembered me and told me it was about time I came home! A lovely life, well lived. I will miss her. My love to the entire family, I know you will feel her loss deeply. Cheryl Saturday, June 26, 2010 |

There is a line in a James Taylor song that says "The key to life is to enjoy the passage of time." Anna Lee spent a month with Wilda and I in Connecticut and later more that three months with Willard as hurricane Rita evacuees. During this time I got to know and love this selfless woman of great character and personality. Nobody enjoyed the passage of time more than she, and I have no doubt that, wherever she is, the enjoyment continues. Friday, June 18, 2010 |

What a special, special lady -- and THAT she was. She was delightful and strong and had that wonderful Southern way about her -- an inner beauty that radiated outward. She passed that beauty along to my dear friend, Wilda, and she, in turn, to her own children. What a wonderful rippling effect, begun by Anna Lee. With love and happy memories of time spent together in CT. Wendee Wednesday, June 16, 2010 |

I REMEMBER CAROLYN ASKING ME IF I WOULD MIND CHECKING ON HER MOM WHEN I WOULD GO TO GULF HEALTH CARE TO CHECK ON MY DAD. CAROLYN WAS SO SICK AT THAT TIME. I PROMISED HER I WOULD ALWAYS CHECK ON HER MOM AND MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS GOING OK. SINCE CAROLYN WENT TO BE WITH JESUS I HAVE KEPT THAT PROMISE. I WOULD SPEND SUNDAYS VISITING WITH DAD AND THEN GOING TO VISIT WITH MRS MORGAN TO MAKE SURE SHE WAS DOING GOOD. SHE WOULD ASK ME DO YOU REMEMBER MY SON MIKE? DO YOU REMEMBER MY DAUGHTER CAROLYN? TEARS WOULD JUST COME TO MY EYES, BUT I WOULD NEVER LET HER KNOW I WAS CRYING. SHE WAS A BEAUTIFUL PERSON AND I WOULD ALWAYS TELL HER SHE LOOKED SO BEAUTIFUL TODAY. SHE WOULD SAY, WELL THANK YOU.WHEN I WENT TO SEE HER I FELT LIKE I WAS SEEING MY DEAREST FRIEND CAROLYN. I WILL MISS YOU MRS MORGAN AS I MISS YOUR DAUGHTER AND MY FRIEND CAROLYN. REST IN PEACE. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH THE FAMILY. LOVE TO ALL OF YOU. SHERI ROBBINS Tuesday, June 15, 2010 |
