John E., Cliff & Charla, my deepest sympathies and condolences on the loss of y'alls son & husband. I will always remember the things that John taught me when I first became a Red Cross Volunteer in 1990 and in the following years. I have lots of good memories of him. My favorite of all was when I first started volunteering. I was asked to go into John's office to get the receipt book for the classes. I walked into his office and told him, "John, Martha needs the receipt book".. he told me, "Well, get it"... I looked at him and told him, "If I knew where it was, I wouln't be telling you that she needs it"... he then said, "oh, I forgot, you're new"... I just laughed and said, "right".... after that I knew where the receipt book was and didn't have to ask him. He was always very helpful about answering questions I had, as was all the others. Rest in Peace, my friend and be sure to sign everyone up for classes and get them ready for disasters.

You have touched so many lives in the short time you were with us here on earth. I know God has welcomed you with open arms telling you "Job Well Done". Well done indeed. You may not be with us in body, but your Spirit and Light will always Shine on through your wife, children, family, friends, and fellow classmates.
