Dustin,
When I heard that you were gone I was numb. After ten long years of no contact with you a random picture from a prom where we had so much fun appeared on Facebook. Something told me to speak to you and I did. It was so great catching up and I could hear through your messages how happy you were...especially with your beautiful girls. Three days after that short chat with you, you left us to be with the Lord. I'm so happy to have talked with you before you left. You will be missed. Mrs. Chaney, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

With love and sympathy,
Monica K.

For the 22 years I served in the United States Navy I have known many Marines. They hold the honor and distinction of being called Marines. To Dustin, he held this honor with proud esteem and a source of pride that made him who he was and how he will be remembered always.

As a Chief who sent Marines to places to protect our freedoms and to do what our country needed. I leave this important verse of a well known hymn that is sung by Sailors and Marines to protect them in all their endvours. This is for Dustin:

Eternal Father, grant, we pray,
To all Marines, both night and day,
The courage, honor, strength, and skill
Their land to serve, thy law fulfill;
Be thou the shield forevermore
From every peril to the Corps.

Protect him Lord.
Your name we pray
Amen.

Dear Gloria, Beverly and all your extended family,

Our hearts aches for you...especially for you, Gloria and for those precious little girls. I can't even imagine the pain you must be feeling. If it were only a bad dream.

The ways of our gracious Lord are impossible to understand. As difficult as it is, we just hang on to His promises that all things work together for our good though at the present we're tempted to doubt. We know that His will is that all people live in heaven. Somehow He is using Dustin's life and death for someone's eternal benefit.

May God grant you the comfort, peace, courage, love and joy that only He can give. Joy in the assurance that you will see your beloved son again.

With prayers and sincere sympathy,
Pat and Louis

There are no words to describe the emotions involved with losing one of my dearest friends. Chaney is a son any mother would be proud of, a father any child would be lucky to have, and a man that any person was blessed to have known. I thank God that I was one of those people that had the pleasure of knowing him.

May he sit at the right hand of God and pray upon those of us still here and guide us in the way He would want us to go.

God Bless....we love you, Chaney!!!
