Dear Family of Gilbert,
Today may you find comfort, for God is present at this time to walk with you through this difficult time of losing your precious Gilbert. Gilbert and I were in the band together...he was such a gifted musician and a truly nice person. May you find peace... God is present to care for your deepest need.
God Bless you, Carolyn Hicks

I also was in High School Band with Gilbert and remember him most for his wonderful talent. He was a very talented musician. I also remember how great a person he was. Always laughing. We had some great time, espacilly on the out of town trips. He was always there to help anyone that needed it. I remember Mr. Smith telling him that he was going to be GREAT someday. I wish that we had not lost contact, but that is how life is. My Prayers go out to all his family. Wanda Lynn Brown....Class of 69 Sunday, May 16, 2010 |

TO PETRA, GILBERT, JOE, MICHAEL, BRANDON & CORY:
I imagine there is no pain more far-reaching and deeper than losing a son, a brother, and a father.
My words are not adequate to express the sorrow I feel for your loss. Gil was an inspiration to everyone no matter if it was at work, home, out in public or even his music. Many people have been blessed to have been graced by Gil's big heart, talents & his inviting personality.
Every bit of my heart goes out to you during this most difficult time. Saturday, May 15, 2010 |
