I worked with Wava for many years at Silsbee Oaks. She was a wonderful nurse & amazing person. She taught me alot, not only in the nursing field, but in life general. She will be greatly missed.

I worked with Wava at the nursing home for many years. Wava always had a smile on her face. When she retired from here we knew she would be back to help out...There was no such thing as retirement in her eyes, that meant more time to go places & more time to garden. What a hard worker! The residents enjoyed shelling peas that she would bring & even more so eating them. Wava will be greatly missed by so many people. It was an honor & priveledge calling her friend!

I worked with Wava many years, she taught me alot. She taught many a nurse alot and if I become half the woman she was, I will have accomplished a great thing. I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. I am sure you already know that everyone loved Wava and we will miss her greatly. She always told me great stories about JL and Jennifer and Wayne and the boys and you could just see the love she had for all of you. I am thankfull that I had the priviledge to know Wava. Truely a Gaurdian Angel was she.

Uncle JL, I'm so sorry for you and the kids lost. I know after we spoke the other day we both agreed Aunt Wava's for sure in a better place. And what a blessing it was that you all were able to be by her side. And, the good lord took her without her having to bare no more pain. I thank-God for that. I'm so thankful I got to spend time with her last May at Dad's. I will always remember the time she helped me when I was little. I was in alot of trouble at the time. No one could handle me at that time. But she came and took me under her wing. What a wonderful Aunt she was and always will be to me.
I had the experience to help her put her contact back in her eye when at dad's. She was so mad she couldn't do it her self. And I was able to help her. All I could think of was now it;s my turn. I said Aunt Wava can you believe I'm helping you now? And she said don't remind me. LOL.. I laughed so hard. That was the happiest day when she needed me and I was there. I loved her so much and I will miss her so much. She taught me how to be an Aunt. Thank you Aunt Wava. I will always carry you in my heart. I always have. And, she taught me something else. Don't turn your back on someone when their down. And, I want ever forget that. I, carried that with me all my life. And, it made a big difference in my up bringing. I know now what it means to have God in your life. I will also helps others as well. I feel your presence. I guess I better go get a bigger shoe's. We all have alot to live up to.
God bless you !! I'm sorry I wasn't able to be there today. I carried you in my heart . Which is a very soft place.
Your favorite niece Rita Faye!!
