Glenn and I were always together growing up. From 3rd grade on. We played football in his backyard after school. We played basketball in his driveway it seemed like every single day. I used to love eating his mom's fried chicken. Went fishing and hunting with him and his dad. As we got older, we spent many an hour driving around in his old black Chevy Nova with the stereo as loud as it would go. We drifted apart when I moved to Cincinnati after college. He did make a trip to see me here, and I made a trip or 2 down to see him. I lost touch with him after awhile as life took us in different directions, but I was able to get back in touch with him a few months before his passing. I made a trip to see him, and we spent a few days together catching up. Same guy I always remembered. We called each other a few times after that. The last call he made to me, I missed. My wife talked to him and gave me the message that he called. I can't remember the reason now, but I didn't call him back right away. I got a call a few days after that from another friend who told me that he had passed. I wasn't able to make it to the service. I regret not getting to talk to him that last time, but I am thankful I made the trip to see him right before his passing. I think about you daily buddy. You are truly missed.

I was very sad to hear of this. Glenn was one of my coaches at Tumble & Cheer when I was younger. He was always very kind and patient with all of us. I'm so sorry for your loss. Your family will be in my prayers. Wednesday, March 31, 2010 |
