I only taught a short time at West Brook, but she always took care of me...looking out for me and making sure I had what I needed. I will always cherish her friendship. I am sorry for your loss. May God comfort you all during this time. Tuesday, March 2, 2010 |

I was privileged and honored to have known Edna Mattox and to have shared such a warm friendship with her through our years together at West Brook High School.
She was such a wise and loving presence in my life as a young teacher, and became very special to me. West Brook was never the same after she retired. I will always treasure the "tea times", her sage advice, and her wicked sense of humor. She was truly one of the most wonderful women I have ever known.
Edna is loved and deeply missed. My husband, Shannon Copeland, and I, send our most heartfelt condolences to her loved ones.
Sincerely, Megan Cobb Copeland Monday, March 1, 2010 |
