Jesse Lynn White, Sr.
January 8, 1932 - February 1, 2010
Paul Searby (Cypress, TX)

We'll all miss Jesse so much but are richer for having known him. He steadfastly cared for his lovely wife, Sandra, and their family with a good humor and gentleness that revealed the depth of his love for them. Like the other men of his generation, John Toups and Brian Poole, Jesse stands as a superb role model for us younger husbands and fathers. I hope when my time is done, I’ve been half the caring husband and father that Jesse has been.
Thanks for showing us how it’s done, Jesse. And God bless you and Aunt Sandra.
Love, Paul and Mary Ellen Searby

Ginie (Henderson) Hebert (Houston, TX)

Dear Cousin Bill & Family,

I am so very sad to hear of Cousin Jesse's passing. Though it has been many years since we have been in contact, it does not lessen my memories of you and Cousin Jesse. I have very fond memories from childhood of the family gatherings at my Grandpa & Grandma Henderson's and Aunt Myrtle's houses on Avenue E in Beaumont. While I wish I could have been there last night at the service -- with my sisters, Jeslyn and Genette -- please know that I was there with you in loving spirit. Though Cousin Jesse will be missed by all who knew him, it is comforting to know that he is now in the loving arms of our Lord and is surrounded by all of our family members who have gone Home before him. With my deepest sympathy to the entire White Family, may God bless each of you and give you comfort at this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Cousin Ginie

Dear Sandra, I can't begin to express how sad I am of the loss of Jesse. I had spoken with Bill, at the doctors office the day after you had admitted Jesse to the hospital, and he told me of Jesse's situation. After leaving the doctor's office I came by the hospital to see Jesse and was told by a nurse he had been taken down for a procedure. I left and came home, thinking the next time I come to Beaumont I would stop by and see you and Jesse. Well as I found out just this morning, I will not get that opportunity. I would like to tell you and the children that Jesse was not only a person that I had the great pleasure to know and work with, but is someone that I had the highest regard for. He was not only very smart, but also kind, funny and a great friend. When he retired from ExxonMobil, I felt a huge loss. Now this morning as I hear of his departure from this life, my heart is broken. I will never forget this great man. My prayers are with you and the family. God Bless!!
