Dear Stark Family:
I am so sorry for the loss of Gaylon. He was a great friend for the many years I have known him. He was partner to many medics that began their EMS career at Williams Diamond EMS and Lumberton EMS. If there is anything at all that I can do for any of you please don't hesitate to call on me. My family and I are keeping you in thoughts and prayers.

He served the community and our department with dedication for nearly 15 years and he played a major role in providing emergency services to the citizens of Lumberton.

I am saddened to hear about the loss of Gaylon. He was a great friend, mentor and co-worker. I worked my way through the ranks in EMS with the knowledge and support he and many others were kind enough to share with me. Many times in the "old days" we were the only two people home in the daytime to respond to an emergency and he always treated me as equal never as the young inexperienced kid I actually was. He was also one of the best drivers we ever had. He was the one who was brave enough to teach me to drive "emergency traffic". I will be forever grateful for the time we were able to share and the lives we were able to impact. Thank you to his family for sharing him with us. Please know I am praying for you.
