There was not a finer, more Godly man than Bro. Melvin McDaniel. Our heart breaks for sweet Sis. Ruby but not for him as he has gone on to receive his reward! Soldier won the battle! He will be greatly missed by his church family in Silsbee, Texas. We loved and respected him. The greatest thing he could have ever done, he did - lived for God to the fullest and set an example for the rest of us -- One Faith, One Truth, One Baptism. Thank you, Bro. McDaniel. You will be missed but not forgotten! Charles, Michelle, Kaylee, Blake and Dollie Tuesday, January 12, 2010 |

Bro Melvin McDaniel was right there at the alter the first time I responded to the word of God and knelt there in repentance. I remember him quickly moving in to pray with me and how I felt because we had never met and he was helping a stranger find the right path....my condolences to the family in their loss. He will be missed by all who knew him. Monday, January 11, 2010 |
