Mr. Manning was a wonderful man, I was always excited to go to work. I worked at Mannings as a teen. I loved Mr. Manning he taught me alot about skating. He was a great person, boss and friend. I would like to send my sympathy to all the family. He will be greatly missed. Friday, January 15, 2010 |

Sad to see another WW2 Hero pass. He was such a gentleman, and was one of my hero's. I remember as a teen, shaking his hand, and thinking, WOW, I'm shaking the hand of a real, honest to goodness, super pilot! Time to time I'd drop in to skate, and would always talk airplanes with Charles. It was a search for the BD-5, then after it was recovered, it served as the backdrop in the skating rink for halloween. Charles, thanks a million for everything, you'll forever live in our memories.
