Dear Sanders Family~ I am so very sorry for your loss. Steve and I were classmates from kindergarten all the way through high school graduation. He was a dear friend to me over those many years. We almost always had the same homeroom teacher, due to our last names, and interestingly enough we also share the same birthdate. He was such a sweet and likeable person all the years that we were together in school. We lost touch after graduation, like many of us do, and I only wish I had known that he and his family were still living locally, as I am. His passing is a shock to many of us, and I so regret having not attended his services. On behalf of those who I have managed to remain in contact with all these years later, may I say that we are keeping your family in our prayers, and remembering the times we shared with Stephen, and are all very proud to have been able to call him our friend. He was truly one of the GOOD GUYS. We'll miss you, buddy.... Sincerely, Jill Stockton Coffey
