My favorite memory of Mary Ann is her contagious joy and laughter - not to mention her cooking! My Dad, John Halpin, died about the same time as Sonny. They were all very close. Years ago, Dad made it a point to bring us to Mary Ann's house for gumbo because he wanted us to know these special people. After that, Mary Ann kept up with all of us. She cared about our lives, and she was truly a positive force. My little brother, Michael, would say, "I love that lady!" I'm so sorry for your loss. I learned when we lost Daddy almost 11 years ago that it doesn't matter if your are 6 or 60 when you lose a parent. It feels the same. God's grace and blessings....... Monday, October 19, 2009 |

We are so sorry to hear about your loss. Mary Ann was a joy to be around and loved her family and life too the fullest. I will always remember seeing Mary Ann at the cross country meets and at the football games cheering for anyone wearing blue and gold. She will be missed by the entire community I'm sure. Your family is in our prayers. Sunday, October 18, 2009 |

Julie & the family, I am sorry for your lose. Your Mom was a "Mom" to so many. No one could do announcements at school like she did! The Longhorn pride ran deep and she love being apart of the community, school, and church. May God's love and blessings be with you at this time. She was a great person and will be deeply missed! I love y'all! Saturday, October 17, 2009 |
