I didn't remember that Ernie and I graduated the same year but not from the same HS. Our senior motto was "We're the best from here to heaven, we're the class of '77!". Well, Ernie just made the trip a little earlier than the rest of us...but we'll all eventually get there!

As a classmate and friend of Ernie's since Helena Park, I always knew and remembered him to be a kind and gentle soul. Ernie was always friendly and happy. I never remembered him ever getting mad. I bumped into him a few years ago, and time stood still at that moment. He was the very same Ernie I knew so many years ago. I know he went straight to heaven and was so deserving! We should all be so lucky!
To his family and wife, I am so sorry for your loss and hope you find peace in knowing who he is with now. May God bless you all in this very sad time.
