I went to work for the gas company (United Gas at that time) in 1972 and after about 1 year got to work as cashier with Dorothy while another employee(Loyce Trahan) was on maternity leave. I can still hear Dorothy's laugh and she could always find something to laugh about. One of my fondest memories of her is her kind heart. I was a single mom some of the time I worked with Dorothy and she would always give me the left over donuts that she purchased for the office to take home to my sons. I still work at the gas company(now CenterPoint Energy) and I call the years spent with Joe Hext, June Yawn, and Dorthy the glory days. I bet that she is happy & laughing right now at something funny she sees in heaven. May the Lord bless your family at this sad time.

To Dorothy's family,

My father, Joseph Hext, worked with Dorothy at Entex for many years. As a child I followed around after my Father at the office. I have wonderful memories of Dorothy, many of which involved me destroying her cashier area! I remember her as a very kind lady. I am so sorry for your loss and pray that God will comfort you all during this difficult time. Tiffany Hext Nickles
