David,
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I am happy that I had the opportunity to visit with him for a few minutes last month at my dad's services. I don't think I had seen your dad since our (yours & mine) high school days. Your dad had quite the personality! I still chuckle when I think of him coming up to me and asking, "Do you remember me?" I know it is difficult to give him up and I know his absence will leave a void in your lives. But may your memories of him bring you and your family comfort. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. We will be thinking of you today.

I am so sorry about your dad. I won't be able to come as i will be in school but i will be thinking of you all. He seemed like he really valued his independence and a long recovery might have been difficult for him. He seems like he enjoyed living life to the fullest. You took good care of him.
