Dearest Shirley, Donyce and Larkin....I am so sad over the loss of Don. I did not know or I would have been there. Dwayne Maricle told me yesterday (3-15-09). I so wish I had known sooner. Shirley, call Mom or me or better yet, come by for coffee as soon as we get moved back in the house. I love you and have always loved you. Donyce, although I haven't seen you in years, as one of my best friends in high school, you still hold that place in my heart. We had a lot of good times together and a lot of those times included your father. Larkin, sweetheart, what can I say to you in this time of loss. A father is a big piece of every daughter's heart. I should know. Even though it will soon be 15 years since we lost my Dad, I miss him tremendously. We will always be "Daddy's Little Girls".....I love you all...Sidney Monday, March 16, 2009 |

Shirley, Donyce and Larkin, I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Lofton's death. He was so wonderful to us when we were growing up in Kountze. Donyce, one of the most fun nights ever was when we were in the 7th Grade and your Dad took all of our best friends - you, Pam Griffith, Reba Sue Lewing, Debbie Revia, Christy Fife, Edie Balla, Sharon Hargraves and me way out on that road to see the "Bragg Light". We were in the back of his truck and we were so afraid, but we had the best time! What great friends we all were! Happy, happy times! Love to your family, Terri Howell 225.931.4797 Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Shirley, We are so sorry to hear about Don. Gary called and told me today. You are in our prayers and we love you. You and Don and the girls were some of our favorite people. I hear Ross told you of the 4 people we have lost in the family. I am sure we will all meet up in heaven in the near future. God Bless You. Love, Nancy and Clifford Saturday, March 14, 2009 |
