I am Chris Maida's youngest daughter. I was so sorry to hear Sam died. I remember his cheerful face as a child at Crescent Market and is a fond memory of him giving me cokes and cherish those memories... I wanted to attend the funeral but was in the Emergency Room till late Monday night and was unable to drive due to my Polycystic Kidney Disease. I am deeply saddened by the fact I could not attend and know that my thougths are with you and the loss of such a wonderful happy man. I tell everyone that he was the nicest Maida I ever knew and even though I had not seen him in years...I will cherish the memories of that beaming smile that greated me as a child... Mrs Maida and Carole, It was with great sadness that I learned of Sam's passing. He was such a wonderful man. He always had something good to say about everyone and was loved by all that knew him. I can't think of a better example of how a man should lead his life than Sam did to those of us lucky enough to have been blessed with his friendship.
