I was so sad to learn of Mr. Mistrot's passing. He was such a big part of my life at St. Andrews PYC and when he was Principle at Caldwood Elementary. I sadly don't get to St. Andrew's often enough but when I did he was always there. I will miss seeing him. He was a big jokester & I used to have fun reminding him that he paddled me (along with 4 boys) when I was at Caldwood Elem. For the life of me I can't remember what we all did (I was a big tom-boy back then).

Prayers to all his family and friends.

I was in that same 6th grade class with Anita, Scott and Mary at Sallie Curtis. We had some excellent teachers at Sallie Curtis, Marshall Jr High and Forest Park, but Mr. Mistrot was one of the most outstanding. He challenged us to think critically and inspired us to do our best. There were never any discipline problems in his class because we were all so engaged in learning. He was a positive influence and role model for us. We just loved him. I know he has made a difference in the lives of so many children. My heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends. He will be missed, but what a legacy he has left.
