I have such warm and beautiful memories of Mrs. Kalinec. Brian and I were best buddies in grade school at St. Pius X and virtually "taught one another" how to play guitar.

To my memory...I believe Brian and I were actually the first two guitarists to play at the St. Pius "Folk Mass" following the changes of Vatican II establishing the Folk Mass. Needless to say... the two of us were inseparable and spent many weekends together at his house or mine playing guitars.

Mrs. Kalinec was the absolute sweetest and kindest person I believe I ever knew. She ALWAYS made me so welcome in their home...even though I KNOW Brian and I must have driven her crazy! Didn't matter,...she was ALWAYS so sweet, so kind, and always had such a beautiful smile. Mr. Kalinec was the same way,...he too was ALWAYS so kind. I don't believe I'll ever forget either of them. God Bless You Mrs. Kalinec.
