Lonnie Weir
September 2, 1933 - December 23, 2015
Wayne Brasher (Silsbee, TX)

An earlier comment in the guestbook by Ms.
Allen says that Lonnie (the boss) once made her
cry. Golly, Ms. Allen, he made me cry many times. Depending on the density of your head, you eventually learned to do it his way. As soon as you grasped that fact your work life became much easier. I never intended to have a career in banking. But Lonnie hired me back some three
times after I had left Lamar Bank to try some
other way to make a living. I think it was a matter of timing. I'd show up asking for a job right after he made someone cry resulting in their leaving and he had a position to fill - quickly. I loved Lonnie Weir like my big brother and he was the best banker that I ever came in contact
with. Rest in peace Lonnie. And Vita, may the Lord bless and keep you. Wayne Brasher
