Harry Galewsky, Jr.
January 3, 1926 - December 6, 2015
Greg Frenkel (Richardson, TX)

He was a great man and I always considered him as my uncle. He was always kind and accepting of me. I really appreciate his life. I know he was an excellent dad and a wonderful husband to Sonia.
He was good friends with my dad and I know there is a connection between my dad and Harry's meeting Sonia. I do not know if Milton introduced them at A&M or was just there.
Even though it was several years I really enjoyed my last visit with him and Sonia.
I wish I could have gone fishing with him.

My life has been blessed by my friendship with Harry. When things got tough in my life I would go see him and get a “Galewsky fix” and things were always better after that. I will miss him.

Terry Meyer (providence, RI)

The world has lost a wonderful old school man, funny, brilliant, twinkly eyed, WWII Naval Air Corp Vet with a can-do attitude.
Fortunately, for the world, Sonia and their sons are cut from the same cloth.
I hear there are some big fish in the gulf that are swimming easier...

With love, Terry

Terry Shipman (Beaumont, TX)

Sonia and the Boys,

Tears run down my face knowing that my last fishing trip was my last fishing trip with my fishing buddy, Harry. He did not catch that 6 pound speckled trout but he did catch a monster red and was very happy that. It wore him out reeling it in. I extend my most sincere condolences on the loss of your hubsand and father.

Cathy (Howell) Brenner (Centerville, TX)

Mrs. Galewsky, Andrew and Family,

I am so sad to read of Mrs. Galewsky's passing on Sunday. He touched my life in many, many wonderful ways and I have thought of him often through the years. Unfortunately, I have not traveled back to the Beaumont area too many times and when I was in the area, I did not have the opportunity of visiting. Please know that you and your families will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Also, I would like for you to know that he will not be forgotten. He influenced many lives as our former employer and what a pleasure it was to have known him and to have worked for and with him. Since becoming a teacher, I have often used him as an example of a person who lead by example and who was an excellent leader. So, in many ways, he is touching the lives of many young people in my classes who will never have the honor of meeting him, but they will know that he was a leader and a man of outstanding moral character when we study leaders, leadership, and leadership characteristics. What a blessing it is for you to have been able to call him both "husband" and "father."

Again, my sincerest condolences and you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

Cathy (Howell) Brenner
