Ben led an interesting life that took him to various parts of the world. He loved travel & the open road & often told his wife & best friend, Joy, that while driving he was "sitting on his front porch looking out at the world." Most importantly, Ben loved his family, dearly. He would always talk of them & wanted only the best for them. He was proud of their accomplishments & wanted to share the future with them. Sadly his life ended quickly.
Ben overcame a difficult early life but kept his sense of hope in large part because he found in his wife, Joy, a gentle soul who always sees the best in people & situations. They met while both serving our country in Turkey.
I understand that only 30 minutes or so before he died he was joking with someone he had just met. Ben had a great sense of humor, a love of life & of people. He did a job well done-as God's good & faithful servant. Rest in peace. Monday, November 23, 2015 |
