Catherine McDermand (Nome, TX)

I extend condolences from all my family to all in your family in this time of grief. as you all know, she taught all 4 of my children here in Nome. She had the "pleasure" of them all in 5th grade and got them all through it. Will never forget her. Praying God will hold you close and give you peace. Annette Todd (Sour Lake, TX)

I am so sorry to hear of Edithe's passing. She was such an interesting and entertaining woman! When I was postmaster in Nome, Ickey usually came in several times a week to pick up their mail, and I always enjoyed seeing him. But the real treat was when Edithe came to get the mail. Sometimes I wouldn't see her for a month or more, but she always caught me up on everything that was going on, and I loved hearing her stories! She was truly a woman born before her time. I know she will be missed by many. RIP Edithe!

Miles may have kept us apart, but love in our hearts made us family. Her smile, laugh and enormous heart will never be forgotten. Thoughts and prayers will continue to the family.
