My Prayers and Thoughts are with you all. I had the pleasure of working with Joe many years ago, and have many fond memories. I know that he and David, along with the rest of the JCSO gang are in heaven talking about the old days.

Joe ,
Thank you for always accepting us and loving us as your own even when we sometimes didn't deserve it. Thank you for loving our Mom more than she had ever been loved before. You always made sure that she had whatever she needed or wanted. You were her best friend and buddy for 27 years and I know she is going to miss you every day. You turned us on to Cajun music, VO and Dr. Pepper, and your love for New Orleans and The Pope. You forgave us for being Southern Baptist and not Catholic. You cooked some of the best food ever and no one could cook crawfish as good as yours and you made sure we never left your house hungry. Not only did you take us in but, all our friends and extended families. We will always have great memories to look back on. I'm so sorry that we couldn't save you but, we know God had better plans for you. Your last words to me before you left us was "It sure is peaceful on the back porch". I hope you are sitting on a back porch somewhere with Cajun music playing, a VO and Dr. Pepper in your hand, smoking a cigarette and enjoying the peacefulness." Each time we sit on your back porch we will think about you and miss you. Don't worry about Mama, we will take care of her until she joins you someday. Rest in peace and be free...
