Loved, Loved, Loved Mr. Bill Dickey! My pew partner on Sunday and Wednesday evenings as well as my friend~ I have so many sweet memories. He would say or do something funny in church and turn and give me that sheepish look that he had .. then I would get tickled and he would get tickled and we just had to not make eye contact again or we would totally lose composure (which on occasion we did). On the evening before he went to the hospital I was out walking and heard a slight squeaking sound coming up behind me.. it was Bill! He was peddling slowly and steadily as he always did AND eating a sandwich (not the usual toothpick in his mouth but a sandwich).. Just like it was the thing to do - ride around and eat your dinner! He rode alongside me for some distance and we just talked about "stuff" but mostly enjoying one another's company. That was my last memory with him and I will treasure it. Such a comfort to know that he is with our Lord and Savior and that we will see him again. How richly blessed I was to have known him~
