My thoughts and prayers are with the family as they go through this difficult time. Although the pain is great, time will make it easier. Calvin's memory will always be with you. Cherish those memories forever.

In times such as this, no matter what is said or what is done, your thoughts are in the past. You cherish each memory with Calvin that makes you smile and you think of each special moment with him in a way that will help you live them again and in a way that help you to never forget them.

Alice and I may not have ever met Calvin, but God has blessed us by allowing us to meet and to share time with his brothers, his sisters, his Mom and Dad; and what we do know from these moments is that Calvin was ….. Calvin is loved.

We know this because of the love we have seen in the family; we know this because of all the good in this family …… which must in turn also be in Calvin. The family we have come to know is one committed to each other in every possible supporting and loving manner.

We want you to know this because no matter what thoughts may be, no matter what doubts may try to find their way in …. You and your actions have allowed us to see Calvin as a Son who is tremendously loved by his parents; We see Calvin as a brother who is tremendously loved by his brothers and sisters; We see Calvin as a child of God who with all our heart believes God now has him in his arms to care for and to love.

Our prayer for the family is that each of you always remember the special moments with Calvin, we pray that you remember every smile shared with Calvin and we pray that you always know in your heart that he continues to smile with each of you and he continues to love each of you.

May the Peace of Christ be with you all!

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
