My sincerest condolences to Claire and the rest of the family. Although I never had the privilege of meeting Gem in person, her contributions to the DS newsgroup on the internet were invaluable and invariably radiated great humanity. She was undoubtedly highly regarded by many on the list and will be greatly missed. Eunice Gordon Milan, Italy Tuesday, April 7, 2015 |

To the family of Gem. I am sorry for your loss. I have read Gem's posts for at least the last 20+ years. My son, Timothy, now 25 also has Down's. I read her posts with great need of her knowledge. We were blessed by her on the Down's support list. Be assured that as a Christian she will spend eternity in heaven with our Lord. Blessings Saturday, April 4, 2015 |

Dearest Granny, Always the most intelligent voice of reason in the room, we are better because we were blessed with your friendship. I was so lucky that you were one of my very first online friends. Claire, we will so miss your mom! Signed, Sandy, that woman from Seattle (that would have made her laugh) Saturday, April 4, 2015 |
