Stephanie Stevens Korolko (Nederland, TX)

Hanks Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.
I went to school with Ben and I always remember him because of his big contagious smile. RIP Ben.

I knew Ben only through his work with the Garth House, but a nicer person, you could not meet. He always had a smile and a pleasant word for everyone. He took his work seriously and did his best to thoroughly investigate the child abuse cases that came through the Garth House. I know he will be missed by many. My prayers are with his family and his law enforcement family at Nederland Police Dept.

Ben and I became friends when we were in college. Our friendship then extended into a working relationship through my job at the Garth House. Ben was the kind of detective that I wish there were more of - he was compassionate, dedicated and committed to every case that he worked. He had an infectious smile and always had a way of making me laugh. I will miss him greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. "Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted". Until we meet again, rest in peace my friend.
