Please accept our deepest sympathies upon your mother's passing. I have always thought of her and her unselfish character and unshakeable faith. The world will greatly miss her because she was the loving advocate between us and Mother Mary. I know she prayed for many of us throught the years. I do know that she is with her husband and son in their heavenly home.

Dr. Isern, although I did not have the privilege of knowing your mother, after reading her obituary, I see how her courage, kindness and love have become a legacy in your family. Our deepest sympathy for your family at this time.

Gail Jenkins (Brenham, TX)

I met Mrs. Isern many years ago when I was working with foster children. She contributed to those children in several ways, including financial, but her support and interest in these children was much more significant. She made each child feel special, and spent more time with each child than most of our support group. Her ability to connect with each child was evidenced by her Christmas gifts. She not only bought gifts for those on her list, but for many of the other children in the program, and each present was tailored to that individual child.

She was very intuitive, as she took me aside one day and asked about my ultimate goals. As much as I enjoyed that work, my plan was law school in two years. Her eyes lit up when I told her, and then told me about her experience in dental school and in that career. Several years later she sent me such a special note when she learned I was practicing.

Her dedication to Dr. Isern and her children was immeasureable. They were so fortunate to have her in their lives, as we all were.
