Gary "Gabby" Jones (winnie, TX)

To all of Eugene's family: Ol' Bird, Bird Dawg, the Bird Man, it didn't matter what me or any of his many friends called him , he would answer with a smile and a chuckle and be ready to talk a few huntin' or fishin' stories anytime or anywhere. I gotta say that some of my most memorable and funniest memories were when me and the Bird Man took several deer huntin' trips to Arkansas. From times that were so cold that water froze on our pants legs as we were wadin' the water to times that skeeters were so thick that the alligators would be swattin' em!, there was never a dull moment with my daddy and ol' bird dawg ridin' shotgun! I KNOW him and my daddy and my brother are together up there reliving all them good times! Rest in peace my friend, I will NEVER forget you!

Lea Ann Cossey (Hamshire, TX)

I was so sorry to hear that Mr. Volcik passed away. I understand stand the loss of a father. We didn't really ever even want to think of this because our parents are suppose to remain with us always.
He always had something for me to ask my daddy, about fishing or if he heard anything about Texas Gulf Sulfur from ole so in so.
His pain and discomforts are gone now, he is at peace.
Sincerely, Lea Ann Johse Cossey
