Twyla Lemar Henze Nau
June 12, 1937 - October 30, 2014
Pat Biar (Nederland, TX)

I just finished viewing the beautiful video which I wasn't able to watch in its entirety at Holy Cross and shed some tears. Some of sadness because our hearts are still aching at not having her vitality, laughter, and love in our midst. Some of joy in thankfulness for the assurance of
her now singing with the angels being reunited with your dear dad and others who were dear to her. Heaven is a more wonderful place than any of us can even imagine! My deepest sympathy to you her beloved family--Cory, Laurie, Scott, Erica and your sweet family, Jill and Gerry. Your mom left a legacy few can match!! Your memories will keep you smiling and even laughing throughout your earthly journey until that day when we will ALL be reunited in heaven!! My prayers and love! God's comfort, peace and inner joy be yours always!

Troy Premeaux (Houston, TX)

Its very sad when one our educators has died that we have all known and loved for so many years. I saw Ms. Nau last year when I was in beaumont for a medical meeting at Elenas on calder. She recognized me I didnt recognize her. She told me she had seen my T.V. commercials, she gave me a big hug and told me I made her day we laughed and cut up when we checked out to pay my bill I paid hers without her knowing it. Im so glad I saw her after all those years to me she made a diffrence in my life. You know educators do that with out us realizing it. Never wait until its too late to recognize your mentors.

She will be missed by all of us.

Barbara Ladner Carson (Victoria, TX)

I was so sorry to hear of Twyla's passing, she is in God's loving arms now. She will be missed. Your family has my deepest sympathy, may God grant you peace. Twyla and I went to school together, she was a grade behind me. When she and Wayne first started dating, Carroll, my husband, then fiancée, and I went to the beach in Corpus Christi with them, we had the best time! Wayne and I were actually distant cousins. Uncle Ernst Nau was my Great Uncle, his wife Lucy and my Grandfather Albert Ladner were sister & brother. I will not be able to attend the services in Yorktown today, but your family will be in my thoughts & prayers.

Mrs. Nau,

You have left a lasting impression on thousands of students across the USA. Bless you for the gifts you shared and for teaching students and adults what life is truly about. You will be missed greatly by so many but NEVER forgotten. We lift your family in love and prayer. God Bless!
