Brenda, Thelma and the Smith Family, Your dad sure was fun to talk to when he came to the ol' shop. He had a lotta old interesting stories when we worked together sometimes in the chevron oil field. He always worked hard and took pride in everything he did. Your dad was a fine man and I am honored to have known him. Rest in peace Smitty.

To the Smith Family:
I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Smith's passing. All of you are in my prayers and thoughts. I know exactly how Mrs. Smith feels and how you girls feel. I know it's hard and that you never want to say good-bye to a loved one however, you know that your loved one is in a much better place. He is watching over you from above. He is with our Lord walking on the streets paved with gold and probably mowing the grass with a red tractor around the River Jordan. And he is also taking his golden pencil out of his pocket and taking measurements somewhere in Heaven. As Thelma said yesterday " My dad's mind is clear and he has a new body and when we get to Heaven he will call us by our full name". I have so many memories of me having a sleep over at the Smith home when I was growing up. I always thought of Mr. Smith as a second daddy and Mrs. Smith as a second mama.
So always remember that you always came first in Mr. Smith's life.
GO REST HIGH ON THAT MOUNTAIN MR. SMITH.
Love and Prayers,
Elaine (Griffin) Hunter

I am so sorry for your loss I just saw the obituary so I missed the funeral service. My prayers are with you as you deal with the loss of Smitty. He was such a kind and caring man who loved his family so much. He was like a father to me when I worked with him at Fannett. We will see him again when we join him in heaven but until then I pray that God gives you strength to carry on without him. He will not be forgotten.

Thelma and Family, my heart is broken for you. I know how much you loved your father. Please know you are in my prayers and hang on to the hope we as Christians share. One day, when the troubles of this life are over we will rest with our loved ones on that beautiful shore. Love you
