Mrs. Stone was a wonderful lady and an amazing teacher. Not only did I have her for my 8th grade teacher, I was honored to have her as the leader of the newspaper and yearbook staff. She always made learning fun and intertesting in her classroom. Working with her on the newspaper and yearbook staff was the BEST!! She treated the entire staff to a weekend at her beach cabin at the end of the school year. It was a BLAST!! She was so much fun and loved her stundents like her own children! She taught me many things including life lessons that I have carried into my adulthood. I am very thankful I was able to call her my teacher and my friend. To this day everytime I saw her, she always remembered me and always gave me a big hug. I introduced her to my daughter Morgan and she told Morgan what a great student, writer and person I was and Morgan was lucky to have such a wonderful Mom! Thank you Mrs. Stone. You will never be forgotten and the lessons you taught will be used and remembered forever. RIP Beautiful Sweet Lady!!! You will be missed always!! Monday, April 21, 2014 |

Nettie was a great lady and wonderful teacher. Whenever I think of her I can hear her bubbling laughter! She was the most loyal Longhorn fan ever and loved her students with great passion. She will be sorely missed by all of us, students and teachers alike. My prayers go out to sweet Wendi and her whole family. Blessings, Linda Horn Monday, April 21, 2014 |
