Dr. Nix, I'm speechless at the moment inside. You helped me at one of the toughest times of my life. I was diagnosed with MS and you helped me with school the job and my personal things. I didn't really talk to people about my disease except for you mainly because I felt you understood. You pushed me to get into grad school, found ways for me to make money when I needed it most. I wish I would have called you when I got the head job. Because if you weren't there too help me I never would have made it. I would say rest in peace but resting was never your style so I will say enjoy your place on heaven and save a game of tennis for me when I arrive! Wednesday, March 26, 2014 |

Dr. Nix, Thank you. Thank you for leaving a lasting impression on so many. Thank you for being a great mentor. Thank you for being available to just talk. Thank you for being a great colleague. Thank you for making SETX as close to home for this Oklahoma boy as you could. Thank you for giving me my 1st teaching assignment. Thank you for making the Kinesiology program at LU something to be proud to claim. Thank you for making your graduates welcome when we came "home" to visit. Most of all thank you for being a friend. RIP my friend, my colleague, my mentor Dr. Charlie Nix Wednesday, March 26, 2014 |
