I had the good fortune to Rodeo with Mike for a couple of years(1979-1980) I was just starting and he was winding down, working and starting a family. Mike was a great teacher, freind and buddy. He was such a good man. It's been 30yrs. since last we talked but I have thought of him ofen. To only now know of his passing is very saddening.
I am from Port Neches and my parents are buried at Oak Bluff. I will find Mike and tell him Good Bye.
Rest in Peace my friend.

Matt,
Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. So sorry for your loss.

Margaret- Apartment 5 (Beaumont, TX)

Matthew and Patrick, I met your dad in May of 2012 when I moved in below him at Huntington Park. He was kind to help me move a few boxes in. He was the best neighbor to have live above me. He was so quiet that I never heard any noise at all and had to wonder if he was even home. He was always quiet spoken. He spoke highly of you'll and was looking forward to spending time with his new grand-daughter. I enjoyed reading his obituary as I learned some things about him! I'm just sad because he was taken home way to early. I pray that God will help you when you are sad and miss him and that time will heal your sorrow. Stay Strong....Margaret Herrera

My father, Rex White taught Mike FFA at Forest Park High School. Mike was a few years old than I but I remember him and all his honors. God Bless his family.

Matthew and Patrick,
I want you to let the family know as well as I want you to know how much I loved your Dad. A few months back we had the opportunity to visit with one another and express the love for one another. Thank God for forgiving hearts and hearts of mercy. When thinking of your Dad's passing, I remembered a poem that reflected the fact when the words are uttered here, he is gone/there is a shout of welcome on the other side that says, here he comes. Some day we all too will be welcomed and never have to say goodbye again. Stay the "troopers" you are......I am here if you need me. Love Maw Maw Joyce
