I knew Bill from Reagan High School in Houston back in the 50's. He and I used to sing together at talent shows that the school put on. We also attended the same church (Shepherd Drive United Methodist). My husband, Russell Davis, stood up for him when he and Cookie got married. Unfortunately, we didn't see much of each other in the years that followed graduation. I was in touch with him for a short period of time when he was singing at nursing homes in the Spring area back in the 90's. He was a great person and, obviously, was loved by many. I just want to say that he was a very special man and it was my privilege to have known him for 60+ years. He was the same wherever he went. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family.

My deepest sympathies. So glad I got to meet Bill last year at National Night Out. What a special person your father was and what a great story teller. He will be missed but most importantly he will be remembered,always and each of us will have our own story of meeting Bill Storey.
