I had the privilage of living across the street from the Ward's while growing up in Labelle Texas. I can't even count the number of times I spent the night with April and was able to join them on two camping trips to Lake Sam Rayburn as a kid. My first memory of Mr. Ward was inviting me to go and see Who Framed Roger Rabbit with April (I was so thrilled because I was one concerned kid when it came to making new friends) when we moved in across the street. My last memory was of seeing Mr Ward randomly in Houston only a few years ago. When I got the news of his all to soon passing I was reminded how lucky you are when someone chooses to love you even though they simply don't have to. I think of those in heaven as angels looking out for us and I am thankful that I got that reminder and I know it came from him (he's already known as the problem solver in heaven too I would imagine.) I have the entire Ward family in my prayers and my wish is that this time is shared to remember Robert and know that he touched many lives throughout his journey on earth.
