Ann "Antje" Aulbaugh

My sisters and I grew up two doors down from Mr. and Mrs. Aulbaugh. Daily visits were a much, mainly because we were either running from our house to the houses next to theirs, sometimes running through their house first just to make our appearance to say hi. She was always there for us, helping when our grandmother or grandfather were in the hospital, taking us to Vacation Bible School at her church yearly, watching Mr. Aulbaugh and my grandfather's normal checkers game. There was never a moment when they were not involved in our lives. She loved her Avon and would hand deliver her orders personally to people's offices with her big smile. I quite often would think of her, and actually she crossed my mind this past week. She will be missed. East Alma has lost a good neighbor.

Mrs. Aulbaugh was a fine Christian women in every sense. She was always uplifting to others, especially the young people at Highland Avenue Baptist Church. She would always find something good to say about us. She allowed herself to be a soul that helped guide me into the minister I am today. May she rest in peace. Until we see each other again. Thank you, fine lady.

I am saddened to hear about Mrs. Aulbaugh but so glad I had her as my Sunday School Class teacher at Highland Avenue Baptist Church. I love this lady. I never heard a harsh word from her and she always smiled. What a blessing she was to me.

Aunt Annie was truely a Blessing to all who have known her. She was a faithful servant to our Heavenly Father and to her family and friends. Her calls when our family was ill were truely appreciated..Her letters kept us involved with her and her children our cousins and families. Her good southern recipes will be treasured ,the stories of family history, and her love for life. May her memory be a blessing to all of us. Our deepest sympathy ,Love.to all.
