You know that I loved your gorgeous and gracious mother nearly as much as I loved my own. Irene was a beacon of light and love wherever she went. A party never started until she arrived. As a famous son of Texas once wrote, "Irene was the most beautiful woman on the peninsula." Most importantly, Irene was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. I will miss her terribly as will everyone who knew and loved her.
