I grew up down the street from the Mayes on Harding Dr. and later worked at Helena with both Ovay & Mildred, they were always the most wonderful and kind couple to me, she will greatly be missed by all.

It has been such a privilege to know Mrs. Mayes from my very first days of working for Helena in Quality Control. Mrs. Mayes never failed to share of her kind spirit. Thank you for sharing her with us at work and for sharing her story so beautifully. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family. God bless.

A life well lived is a blessing to all around and a challenge to those who follow behind. Mrs. Mayes definitely blessed and challenges many. My thoughts are with the family as you grieve her loss, yet celebrate her life.

"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”

To Mr. Mayes and all the family,
I am so sorry for your loss, especially at this time of year. I met Mr. & Mrs. Mayes when they came into where I work for a bathroom remodel project. They were such a lovely couple who left a lasting impression on me and I was so shocked to learn that Mr. Mayes was still working! I enjoyed reading her life story and it is truly an inspiration to all. I wish you God's comfort as you grieve for your loss, but, know that she is spending Christmas in heaven with our Lord and Saviour. God bless you all.
