Jennifer and Lisa, ya are orphans just like me. Both of our parents were as well known for what they gave back to Nederland. I know exactly how both of you feel, I lost my dad, Pat Johnson this past February. At least all of parents are buried at Oak Bluff were generations call the final resting place knowing their loved one will come visit them.
It won't be much longer until I will be with my folks, as I have Stage 3B Lung cancer and a fatal disease.
My God take your sadness away, as your dad would never want you to cry, rather rejoice and have a good life. Saturday, December 14, 2013 |

I only knew Mr. Doornbos through the coffee clutch at Mcdonalds. Mr. Doornbos, Sonny Vitabo and Paul Broussard would tell great stories about past events that they had witnessed. I liked to listen to Mr Doornbos and Mr Broussard with keen interest. Mr. Doornbos spoke of a place he had in Merryville or Deridder ,always made me a little home sick . He was a fine story teller. He has been missed at the coffee clutch for sometime now. My condolences are with the Doornbos Family. Gavin Bruney Sunday, December 8, 2013 |
