I was so blest by this sweet woman in my life. I will miss her warm smile and her friendship. My prayers are for her family.
Just recently I shared a writing with her that has now been made into a song. Just a couple of verses I would like to share in this memorial to her. May God comfort all of your great aches at this time.
"You've kept track of my every toss and turn, through sleepless nights. Each tear entered into your ledger. Each ache written in your book." (Psalm 56:8 The Message).
Tears In Your Bottle
You hold my tears in your bottle. You know how troubled I am. You collect all my sorrows When the storms come rollin' in. You remind I'm not alone. You remind I'm not alone. Oh God remind me that I'm not alone. Even though the billows roll.
He knows every tear I shed. And He's with me wherever I go. Hard pressed, swallowed up. Shaken by this world, captured by words and deeds so cruel. But my God says, my God says, He remembers my pain. But my God says, each heartache is marked on His scroll.
When I toss and turn through the sleepless nights, when the tears run down like rivers and I know you hear me cry. You hold my tears in your bottle. You know how troubled I am. But my God says, my God says He remembers my pain...
As much as I hate to let Chris go in this world, she resides in His presence now. And for all her pain and suffering she endured, she is free - though our hearts are grieving. I will see you at Heaven's gate someday, dear friend.
May God strengthen and encourage all of you left behind. Your wife, your mother, your grandmother, your sibling, your friend is awaiting you. Live like never before.
