Joe Short, always a bright spot on my radar. It's not too many friends, that no matter how much has passed, the conversation can pick up, like you just spoke the day before. That's how it was with Joe and I. We met at age 4, in a neighbor's yard, and were friends ever since. Most notably, through our teen years and 20's, running the streets of Houston's old Northside. As the years passed by, and the miles between us grew, it was great when we got reconnected with some phone calls back a few years ago. It saddens me no end, that those phone calls are to be no more, but i do take comfort in knowing that his suffering has stopped. Rest in peace buddy, see you on the other side. We send our deepest sympathy to the family. We were blessed to know this man. He definitely made an impact on the residents and staff of this facility. He even came back to visit after his stay and everyone was so happy to see him. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
